
In 2016, Ashley, Austin and their daughter Arya ("Lioness" in Hebrew) moved to Waukesha, Wisconsin to start Horizon Church.
In 2014, Ashley transitioned in Curriculum Development working with Apex Learning. After graduation, Ashley returned to Tallahassee where she taught at Florida State University School and supported her husband Austin, who she wed in 2010 in his role as Student Pastor at Generations Church. At Southeastern, Ashley was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society for Educators. More importantly, NFC helped ground me with a personal understanding of the foundations of my faith.”Īshley graduated from Southeastern University in 2010 with a degree in Secondary Education. I quickly learned that I was as well prepared,if not better prepared, than my college classmates for the rigors of college writing and classwork. When asked about his time at NFC, Scott noted “At the time, I often wondered if my small Christian school education had me prepared for college, and then law school. Scott, and his wife Cathy Cox Gwartney (NFC class of 1984) currently reside in Tallahassee with their three children. Gwartney brought his practice to the Brooks LeBoeuf, Bennett, Foster & Gwartney, P.A., in 2002. The Connor & Gwartney law firmed eventually merged into the Wilkes & McHugh law firm.

Gwartney began his legal career with acclaimed civil trial lawyer Kenneth L. Scott graduated from Liberty University, magna cum laude, in 1985 and from the Florida State University College of Law in 1991.

He is a frequent lecturer in issues related to medical malpractice and long-term care litigation.
